School Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Aurora, IL | 2026-2027 School Year

Navra is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a school district in Sugar Grove, Illinois for the upcoming school year. This is an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals who are passionate about supporting student health, safety, and academic success in an educational setting.

Position Overview

The School LPN will provide direct nursing care to students, assist with health-related needs throughout the school day, and collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to promote a safe and healthy learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide basic nursing care and first aid to students and staff as needed.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and district policies.
  • Monitor and document student health conditions, symptoms, and treatments.
  • Assist students with chronic health conditions, including diabetes, asthma, seizures, and other medical needs.
  • Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with school and state regulations.
  • Respond appropriately to health emergencies and communicate with parents/guardians when necessary.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and special education teams to support student health plans.
  • Promote health and wellness education within the school community.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student health information.

Qualifications

  • Active Illinois Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Previous pediatric, school-based, or community health experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
