Provides instructional and fiscal support assistance to identified schools. Conducts regular site visits. Advocates the development of school-classroom goals, strategies, and activities that are aligned to the Mobile County Public School Systems strategic plan. Provides recommendations for teacher job-embedded staff development. Facilitates and monitors the use of best practices based on the data in the alignment of curriculum instruction assessment and improvement. Works in collaboration with MCPSS Academic Affairs staff under the direction of the Executive Director of Federal Programs or designee. Assists school personnel in improving achievement. Assists school staff in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting school data and reports. Assists school staff in developing, implementing, revising, and evaluating Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP). Assists school staff in the most effective use of its resources, time, funding, personnel, etc. Promotes necessary school consensus for change. Helps school staff identify and eliminate barriers to necessary change. Collaborates with school principal, faculty, and other personnel from the LEA and/or SDE. Summarizes and reports monthly progress to the Executive Director of Federal Programs or designee. Provides technical assistance related to federal programs. Monitors the schools allocation of time and resources to determine consistency with the goals and objectives of the ACIP. Provides instructional coaching to the staff of assigned schools. Monitors the inclusion of effective strategies in the ACIP that addresses underachieving students. Monitors the use of comparison trend and benchmark data to assess the rate of school-classroom results that guide improvement efforts. Participates in on-going quality training. Ensures that schools meet Federal and State compliance requirements of NCLB. Ensures the proper coordination between Federal and Regular Programs. Assumes any and all other responsibilities assigned by the Executive Director of Federal Programs.

QUALIFICATIONS ---------------

Must have a valid Appropriate Alabama Teaching Certificate. Must have a Masters Degree or higher in Education from a regionally accredited college or university. Must have a minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience. Must have documented examples of the use of best practices in training and coaching others as it relates to reading and/or mathematics and documented examples of the use of data to drive decisions. Must have documented examples of experience in supervising and assisting school improvement planning. Must have a thorough understanding of CCRS and ACIP Process.

SALARY --------

As per MCPSS Salary Matrix depending on degree and experience.

Applicants selected for certified positions must have undergone an ABIFBI criminal history background check fingerprinting administered through sites selected and approved by the MCPSS and State of Alabama Education Department and been declared suitable and fit to teach under state law. Applicants selected must also pass a drug-screening test via forms provided by Human Resources during the selection process.
