Job Summary
Under the direction of the Administrative Director of Special Education and Student Services, the School District Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides a comprehensive school health services program that supports student access, safety, attendance, and educational success. The position protects and promotes the health of students and staff; identifies and helps remove health-related barriers to learning; provides services to general and special education programs, including students with chronic or complex health needs; and ensures services are delivered in accordance with applicable laws, professional standards, and District policies and procedures.

Current California Registered Nurse License; Current California Health Services School Nurse Credential, OR Temporary California Health Services School Nurse Credential with commitment to complete requirements (30 post-Bachelor's Degree graduate level units) to clear credential within 5 years from date temporary credential obtained; CPR Trained Certificate; First Aid Trained Certificate; valid California driver's license
