If so, we're looking for a School Crossing Patrol who wants to make a difference at South Milford Primary School. Ideally you would cover both the morning and afternoon duties, but if you can't work both, we can offer flexibility and would still be interested in hearing from you if you can only commit to one duty a day.
The role
All our school crossing patrols provide a really valuable service to the local community by ensuring that children and adults are able to cross the road safely on their route to and from school.
Your duties will include:
Check the operation of amber flashing lights (where appropriate) and reporting any malfunctions to the School Crossing Patrol Officer.
Carry out a 'pre-duty' Health and Safety risk assessment to ensure the site is safe to work at, and reporting any concerns identified to the School Crossing Patrol Officer.
Control and marshalling of children at the crossing point Stopping traffic on the Highway by using 'STOP' sign
We may be able to offer flexibility, if you can only work mornings or cannot work every weekday, we would still be interested in hearing from you.
Duty times: 8.15am - 9am and 2.50pm - 3.30pm Mon - Fri (Term time)
