School Counselor - Long-term Substitute

Intermediate District 287 serves students in grades K-12 as well as transition age students 18-22 years old from our 12 member districts in the west metro area. Our district offers a wide range of services and specialized programs primarily focused on setting IV special education that is designed to meet the diverse needs of our students. • FTE: 1.0
• Work Schedule: This is a temporary position expected first day of school through January 2027

• Salary is based on Local 2209 Salary Schedule A 51349 - 101853 depending on experience and education

Requirements

Interested in candidates who are diverse, bilingual, or have experience working with diverse populations.

• Two years of professional level experience working with special education or at-risk students preferred.
• Current license as a School Counselor issued by Professional Educator Licensing Standards Board (PELSB)
• OR hold an advanced degree in counseling
• OR hold a bachelor&rsquos degree, provide evidence of enrollment in an accredited school counselor program and have completed 24 semester credits in school-counseling-specific coursework or content.
