Mayville Junior/Senior High School is seeking a School Counselor who believes in the power of relationships, collaboration, and student advocacy.
With approximately 500 students in grades 7-12, Mayville offers a unique opportunity to know students and families personally while working alongside a supportive team of educators committed to helping every student succeed. Essential Responsibilities
Provide academic, career, social, and emotional support to students.
Assist students with academic planning and goal setting.
Support college, career, and workforce readiness initiatives.
Collaborate with staff, families, and community agencies to meet student needs.
Participate in student support and problem-solving teams.
Provide crisis response and connect students with appropriate resources.
Help foster a positive school culture where students feel connected, supported, and valued.
Support Academic and Career Planning (ACP) and postsecondary readiness efforts.
Required Qualifications
Wisconsin DPI School Counselor License (#7050 or equivalent).
Master's degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Knowledge of student development, mental health supports, and postsecondary planning.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a school setting.
Experience collaborating on interdisciplinary student support teams.
Knowledge of social-emotional learning and multi-tiered systems of support.
