Primary Responsibilities:
Provide general clerical support and, when needed, function as the receptionist and/or registrar for the local school by performing general financial and accounting duties as assigned.
Perform general clerical duties for the local school.
Prepare and transcribe various reports, forms, memos, and letters.
Prepare work orders, purchase orders, and/or item orders of varying types from oral and written requests from supervisor.
Organize and maintain files including, but not limited to, interdepartmental correspondence, school correspondence, student enrollment, and confidential materials.
Route incoming and outgoing correspondence and materials accurately and quickly.
Utilize telecommunication equipment courteously and efficiently.
Process information requests accurately and quickly as assigned.
Operate and maintain, or refer for maintenance, routine office machinery.
Process student enrollment or withdrawal and student personnel files in accordance with school system procedures as assigned.
Maintain student personnel records in accordance with school system procedures as assigned.
Assist with switchboard functions as needed.
Maintain and communicate a general working knowledge of local school and school system public information, policies, procedures, and events with internal and external customers
Communicate with all parties in a businesslike, courteous, and efficient manner.
Represent the division professionally in all aspects of communication.
Help cultivate a responsive and customer-centered climate.
Seek ways to be responsive to the needs of staff.
Handle internal and external customers graciously and effectively.
Direct inquires to the appropriate division personnel as needed.
Route incoming and outgoing correspondence accurately.
Assist with new projects in the local school.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and/or reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
