PURPOSE OF JOB Performs business service functions for local funds collected and disbursed at the assigned school site according to published accounting procedures for student activity funds provided by Business and Finance.

What Youll Be Doing

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the established chart of accounts for all transactions required to be processed in the student activity bank account and the ALIO financial system. • Keep track of all student activity for the school in compliance with student activity regulations. • Prepare cash receipts for all money collected, documenting the reason and purpose for the cash. • Make daily bank deposits as required. • Post cash receipts to the accounting system daily/weekly. • Obtain approval for payment of invoices. • Post cash to the accounting system daily/weekly. • Establishes and maintains detailed cash receipts data to support all bank deposits and approved detailed invoices to support all. • Maintain all accounting documents in a secured location at the school site. • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and required reports to be submitted to the Supervisor. • Prepare monthly reports disclosing detail transactions of each club sponsor and the. • Maintains a list of club sponsors as approved by the. • Processes all school orders of materials and supplies using the ALIO Financial Management. • Monitors the schools outstanding purchase orders process, receipt of goods and services on-line using the ALIO Financial Management System. • Main duty is to process payroll data for the school site. • Cross-trains with other support staff at school sites on duties related to business and. • Attends annual training on business functions related to payroll processing and using the ALIO Financial Management. • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reading accounting. • Makes recommendations to supervisor on ways to improve accounting for student activity funds. • Maintains and protects accounting records by keeping information. • Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing job. • Performs other duties as assigned.

To Be Successful at This Job

Youll Need To Qualify

• Associates degree in Business Administration and one year of meaningful bookkeeping experience OR 6 hours of college-level Accounting courses and three years of meaningful bookkeeping experience. • A minimum of two years experience working in a computerized business environment. • Proficiency using personal computers and software applications, including Windows Excel, Access, Word, etc. • Proficiency in the use of a 10-key. • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
