Join the Maui Behavior Analysis Team. BAYADA Behavioral Health is a non-profit employer seeking an in-school Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®). RBTs work with individuals with Autism and other Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDDs) to reduce challenging behaviors, increase functional skills, and foster independence and individuality.
How You'll Make an Impact:
• Work directly with students in the classroom, following the established service plan • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams • Respect the values, thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes of clients and families • Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support the student in the classroom environment • Document interventions and progress towards goals • Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior plan • Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help the student acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals • Provide support to the client in interpersonal skills, development, and maintenance of personal relationships, and building independence in their school routine • Supports school age children to succeed with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Qualifications for a School-Based Behavior Technician:
• Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT) Certified or the desire to pursue certification (paid for by BAYADA) • Be at least 18 years of age • Experience working with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities is a plus, but not required • Associate's or Bachelor's degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 OR Passage of the ParaPro Praxis assessment (BAYADA assistance available)
