School-based Behavioral Health Therapist School Based Heath Center

Family Health Care is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Therapist for our school-based health center team. This is a full-time (40 hrs/week), year-round position with no weekend or on-call expectations. School-based health centers are located within a school and focus on providing need-driven, comprehensive services that are easily accessible to youth and their family.

Specific qualifications and educational requirements:

  • Masters degree from an accredited program in social work, counseling, family and marriage therapy.
  • Currently licensed in the state of Michigan as a clinical social worker, professional counselor, family/marriage therapist
  • 1-3 years of experience in a behavioral health setting providing evidenced-based mental health services to children, adolescents, and/or adults
  • Effective communication and time management skills

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work independently to provide outpatient mental health services that include brief interventions and consultations, and follow-up services to youth aged 5-21
  • Complete clinical documentation in an electronic health record system
  • Comply with Mandated Reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in outreach events at the school and in the community
