Job Description:

  • Meets with students seeking information regarding community scholarship
  • Assists students in completing the Community Scholarship Application through workshops in the computer lab.
  • Holds informational meetings (in-person and/or virtual) for parents of students interested in learning more about community scholarships, in conjunction with counselor-led meetings to disseminate information about the college application process and other forms of financial aid.
  • Is available on parent-teacher conference nights, provides information as needed. Sets up FAFSA help with NWACC.
  • Communicates and implements scholarship deadlines and processes.
  • Assists district-level coordinator with selection committee facilitation including setting up student interviews either in person or by Zoom.
  • Participates in the annual College Fair activities.
  • Visits each senior English class to disseminate information regarding the community scholarship program.
  • Collaborates with counselors, the other building-level coordinators, and the district-level coordinator to ensure communication, equity, and fairness between the three high schools.
  • Works with the district personnel to design and maintain a portion of the school's scholarship website page.
  • Posts scholarship info and awards on social media sites.
  • Collects data in an Excel spreadsheet from seniors to tabulate amounts of scholarships offered and accepted and post-secondary plans.
  • Prepares Power Point slides for scholarship ceremony and/or virtual ceremony.
  • Organizes and produces the annual scholarship awards assembly.
  • Provides District-level coordinator with community scholarship recipients' personal information that is sent to Rogers Development Foundation.

Bachelor''s degree preferred.

This position is for 6 hours daily, schedule to be set by building principal.

180 day contract / 30 hours per week.
