Waste Connections has an immediate opening for a Scale Attendant to join the team at our transfer station in Uniontown, AL.


Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00AM- 3:00PM / Occasional Saturdays


As a scale attendant with us the minimum responsibilities are:


+ Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the transfer station.

+ Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures.

+ Calculate payments for customers.

+ Closing duties include balancing cash drawer, as well as reconciling the credit card machine or POS system.

+ Ensure incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.

+ Approach all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.


What we need from you:


+ Excellent customer service skills.

+ Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.

+ Must have flexible availability to include weekends.
