Waste Connections is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Scale House Attendant to join our team.


This role is a critical first point of contact for our customers and requires strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.


Pay: $20 per hour


Schedule: Monday - Friday / 7 am to 4 pm


Primary Responsibilities


+ Provide excellentcustomer serviceto internal and external customers

+ Operate truck scales (weighing vehicles in and out accurately)

+ Maintain and update customer account and transaction information

+ Set up new customer accounts in the system

+ Run daily and monthly operational reports and input data into Excel spreadsheets

+ Generate, review, and process customer invoices

+ Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and site staff

+ Perform administrative tasks while working independently with minimal supervision


Qualifications & Requirements


+ Strongcustomer serviceand interpersonal skills

+ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

+ Proficiency inMicrosoft Wordand Excel

+ Solid communication and organizational skills

+ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

+ Flexible availability, including weekends

+ Physical & Work Environment Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and office equipment for prolonged periods. Ability to work in an environment that may include dust and noise.
