LeMay, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for aScale Attendantto join the team at our location inAberdeen, WA.
The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. Starting pay will be $19.50 per hour with yearly pay raises.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Solicit sale of new or additional services.
- Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the transfer station as a cashier
- Responsible for balancing out a cash drawer and reconciling a Credit Card Machine.
- Weighing trucks in and out and calculating payments for customers.
- Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures.
- Ensuring that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.
- Work on your feet outside throughout your shift
- Providing general upkeep of the Scale House.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
- Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required.
- 2 years of Customer Service experience.
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Emailpreferred. Typing and 10-key skills are required.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems. Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
