Seeking experienced Band Saw Operators to work in north Tulsa area. Must have experience cutting steel stock to correct length and measurements. Individuals must be able to work in high-speed and fast-paced routine environments while adhering to safety standards. Must be able to set up and operate mitar/chop/band saws
Hours: 7am to 3:30pm (1st shift)
Days: Mon-Fri, occasional weekends
Pay: $16-$18 per hour
Requirements:
- 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment
- Must be mechanically inclined and able to read and interpret basic blueprints.
- Must be able to unload raw materials from semi-trucks and store material.
- Set up, operate, and maintain chop saws and related cutting equipment.
- Must be able to read a tape measure down to the 1/16”
- Measure, mark, and cut materials accurately to required dimensions.
- Must be safety conscious while performing basic preventive maintenance on saw equipment.
- Inspect materials for defects and ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and blade changes as needed.
- Follow all workplace safety regulations, including PPE requirements.
- Ensures work area is clean and safe at all times.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Must be able to stand, sit, kneel, reach for long periods of time.
- Must be aware of lock-out / tag out procedures.
- Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled work environments
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs with or without accommodations.
