This role focuses on requirements development, system interoperability, integration and test efforts, and verification and validation activities. The ideal candidate is a mid-level engineer with a strong technical foundation and experience in satellite communications engineering. Core responsibilities include:Conduct assessments of satellite communication concepts of operations and translate stakeholder needs into system requirements and technical specificationsReview Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and technical specifications to support interoperability between legacy and next‑generation communication systemsSupport planning, coordination, and execution of integration and test activities for government and commercial communication architecturesPerform technical analyses, trade studies, and quantitative assessments to support engineering decision‑makingDevelop verification and validation (V&V) plans and mission success criteria aligned with stakeholder requirementsPrepare technical documentation and support NASA lifecycle reviews, readiness assessments, and engineering boardsContribute to the evaluation of RF and antenna subsystem performance and assess compatibility with ground system equipmentSupport communication system operations and mission readiness activities across the project lifecycleQualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or similar field.Experience: 5-10 years of experience in satellite communications, systems engineering, or mission operations.Work Authorization: Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident.Role/Work ScheduleThis is a full-time, on-site position in Cleveland, OH.Desired SkillsExperience in requirements development, ICD management, integration and test, V&V, and NASA (or comparable) lifecycle activities.Knowledge of RF systems, satellite communication fundamentals, signal processing (e.g., modulation), and ground system architectures.Familiarity with NASA networks, such as TDRSS, NSN, DTE, or commercial communication systems.#J-18808-Ljbffr
