JOB GOAL: To assist and support the school leadership in providing vision, culture, and instructional leadership that efficiently and effectively results in increased student achievement.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as the Student Assistant Team chairperson.
- Responsible for documenting and monitoring all student programs including homebound, short illness, transfers from grade to grade, gifted, talented, speech, academics, medical conditions, emotional deficits, ADD/ADHD, and behavior deficits.
- Serves as dyslexia chairperson.
- Works with teachers to identify students at risk.
- Screens and identifies students at risk.
- Recommends a student to Pupil Appraisal for full evaluation.
- Documents records of all English Language Learners (ELL).
- Monitors academic progress of ELL students.
- Reports progress of ELL students to district coordinator.
- Works with language interventionists to create and implement a plan.
- Writes current IAP's fo all 504 students.
- Informs teachers of student accommodations.
- Monitors academic progress of 504 students.
- Reports all updates to JPAMS.
- Works with teachers to create multi-level intervention groups.
- Monitors groups for improvement.
- Contacts parents and issues letters as needed in reference to academic probation.
- Works with parents and teachers to devise a plan of action.
- Have parents/teacher conferences as needed.
- Performs any additional duties assigned by the superintendent and/or evaluator.
