Description:

We are looking for a hands-on SAP S/4HANA Upgrade Consultant to support a major enterprise upgrade initiative. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical and functional expertise in SAP S/4HANA upgrades and play a key role in implementation, testing, and cutover activities.

 

Location: San Francisco, CA
Duration: 6 months

Travel: Preferred candidate to be based out of San Francisco. If not local, travel will be required for a few weeks or on an alternate-week basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise for SAP S/4HANA upgrade activities
  • Deliver hands-on support for configuration, implementation, and system migration tasks
  • Assist with system testing, validation, and issue resolution throughout the upgrade lifecycle
  • Support cutover planning and post-upgrade stabilization efforts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams to ensure successful delivery
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the upgrade process
  • Ensure alignment with SAP best practices and enterprise architecture standards

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA upgrade and migration projects
  • Hands-on SAP S/4HANA configuration and implementation experience
  • Knowledge of SAP ECC to S/4HANA transition strategies (brownfield/greenfield)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in SAP environments
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise or consulting environments
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and business teams
  • Ability to work in hybrid/on-site delivery models

Experience & Education:

  • Proven experience supporting or leading SAP S/4HANA upgrade initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $65.00 to $70.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
