Experienced technical architect responsible for leading the custom code remediation strategy and technical development aspects of an ECC-to-S/4HANA brownfield conversion. This role oversees all technical objects requiring modification, including custom code, enhancements, interfaces, reports, forms, workflows, and other components to ensure S/4HANA compatibility. This position requires a strategic technical leader working onsite daily from our Fort Worth location who can bridge the gap between existing ECC customizations and S/4HANA requirements while maintaining system integrity throughout the conversion process.
Responsibilities
• Establish development standards and remediation principles aligned with S/4HANA requirements
• Conduct comprehensive impact assessments on custom developments and integration components
• Lead technical analysis of S/4HANA simplification items and their implications
• Make strategic decisions regarding remediation approaches: remediate, redesign, decommission, or retrofit
• Coordinate and manage both onshore and offshore development teams
• Ensure quality through technical specifications, code reviews, testing support, and transport compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Basis, functional consultants, security, data management, and integration specialists
Requirements
• 8+ years of SAP technical development experience
• Participation in multiple (2+) complete SAP project lifecycles
• Demonstrated experience in S/4HANA conversion projects with focus on custom code remediation
• Strong background working in complex ECC landscapes and regulated delivery environments
• S/4HANA technical architecture principles
• Custom code remediation methodologies and tools
• ABAP development and integration design
