SAP S/4HANA PP/QM Consultant (AMS Support)
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA PP/QM Consultant to provide L2/L3 AMS (Application Managed Services) support and continuous improvement for manufacturing and quality processes.
This role focuses on ensuring stable execution across planning, production, inspection, and usage decision processes, while delivering timely issue resolution and supporting enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
AMS Production Support (L2/L3)

• Provide L2/L3 support for SAP S/4HANA PP and QM
• Manage incidents, service requests, and defects within SLA timelines
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes

Quality Management (QM) Support

• Support QM processes:
  • Incoming, in-process, and final inspections
  • Inspection lots and results recording
  • Defects, notifications, and usage decisions
  • Batch/serial management and certificates (CoA)

Production Planning (PP) Support

• Support PP processes:
  • MRP / MRP Live
  • Planned and production orders
  • BOM, routings, work centers, and capacity planning
  • Order release, confirmations, GI/GR, backflush
  • Variance analysis

Configuration & Enhancements

• Perform configuration changes (SPRO)
• Support small enhancements and change requests
• Manage transport and deployment across environments (DEV/QA/PRD)

Integration & Cross-Functional Support

• Collaborate with modules:
  • MM, WM/EWM, PM, SD, FI/CO
• Support integrations:
  • MES/LIMS, barcode/RF, PI sheets, IDocs/APIs

Testing & Documentation

• Prepare functional specifications and test scripts
• Support SIT/UAT cycles and defect resolution
• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles

Operational Support

• Support shop-floor and quality teams during:
  • Month-end close
  • High-volume production
  • Cutover and hypercare phases

Must-Have Qualifications

• 4–8+ years of SAP PP and/or QM experience
• Strong hands-on experience in AMS / production support
• Strong QM expertise:
  • Inspection types, sampling, results, UD, notifications
• Strong PP expertise:
  • MRP, production orders, confirmations, goods movements
• Understanding of integration with MM and FI/CO
• Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow/Jira)
• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with S/4HANA features (MRP Live, Fiori apps)
• Experience with QM–EWM and PP–EWM integration
• Experience with MES/LIMS, labeling tools, PI sheets
• Experience in regulated environments (GxP)
• Knowledge of PP-PI or advanced planning tools
