Schedule: Thursday–Sunday | 10-Hour Shifts (Mostly Day Shift)

Sanitation Supervisor Job in Yadkinville, NC

We are hiring an experienced Sanitation Supervisor to lead sanitation operations at our 400,000-square-foot food manufacturing facility in Yadkinville, North Carolina. This role is ideal for a sanitation leader with strong knowledge of food safety, regulatory compliance, and industrial sanitation who is looking for a long-term career in manufacturing in Yadkin County.

Our facility supports approximately 200 associates and operates high-volume processing equipment including conveyors, ovens, mixers, and production lines. The primary sanitation window runs Thursday through Sunday, aligned with peak production days. While most shifts occur during daytime hours, flexibility is required to support off-shift crews and occasional Monday mornings.

This position is highly visible and collaborates closely with Operations, Quality Assurance (QA), Maintenance, and FSQA to ensure compliance with FDA, FSMA, HACCP, GMP, SQF, and BRC standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and execute the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) for a large food manufacturing operation
  • Conduct pre-operational and post-operational sanitation inspections
  • Ensure effective cleaning and sanitizing of processing equipment, conveyors, mixers, ovens, overheads, floors, and employee facilities
  • Manage sanitation chemical usage, storage, and SDS documentation
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, HACCP, FSMA, SQF, and BRC food safety standards
  • Partner with QA and Operations to address sanitation deviations and document corrective actions
  • Lead environmental monitoring programs including ATP swabs, allergen verification, and microbiological testing
  • Plan sanitation labor based on production schedules and sanitation windows
  • Maintain and update SSOPs, sanitation work instructions, and validation records
  • Oversee equipment disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and pre-startup verification
  • Lead safety efforts including PPE compliance, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and safety training
  • Identify opportunities for sanitation efficiency, chemical optimization, and continuous improvement
  • Investigate sanitation-related incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Support additional FSQA programs such as pest control, food defense, and utility management
Qualifications & Experience
  • Associate’s Degree preferred; equivalent manufacturing experience considered
  • 3–5+ years of sanitation experience in food manufacturing or industrial production
  • Strong knowledge of industrial sanitation chemicals and safe handling practices
  • Working knowledge of FDA, USDA, GMP, HACCP, FSMA, SQF, and BRC regulations
  • Experience managing sanitation programs in large manufacturing facilities
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach teams across multiple shifts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience managing department budgets, labor costs, and sanitation assets
