A leading manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Sanitation Supervisor to lead sanitation operations within a fast-paced production environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring food safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence by overseeing sanitation programs, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and leading frontline sanitation teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sanitation leadership, food safety programs, and plant operations, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily sanitation activities to ensure compliance with company standards, food safety regulations, and sanitation procedures.
  • Oversee and coach hourly sanitation team members, providing training, guidance, and performance management.
  • Ensure adherence to SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures), GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), chemical handling protocols, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Conduct sanitation verification activities, including ATP swabs, environmental monitoring, visual inspections, and documentation reviews.
  • Partner with Quality, Production, Maintenance, and Operations teams to support production schedules and sanitation effectiveness.
  • Investigate sanitation-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor sanitation performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal audits, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Support sanitation activities during shutdowns, sanitation-intensive periods, and special cleaning projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sanitation leadership, production leadership, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of sanitation practices, food safety standards, SSOPs, GMPs, chemical handling, and safe work procedures.
  • Experience leading or supervising hourly production or sanitation teams.
  • Experience performing sanitation verification activities, including swabs and visual inspections.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and shifts.
  • Flexibility to support off-shift activities, weekends, and sanitation-intensive operational windows when required.
