Sanitation Supervisor

An established food manufacturing company located in the southern suburbs of Chicago is in search of a dedicated professional to oversee its night sanitation operations. This role requires a strong, hands-on leader who thrives in an engaging team environment and can lead sanitation initiatives onsite.

You'll be at the forefront, guiding a team dedicated to maintaining top-tier cleanliness and safety standards throughout the facility during the overnight hours.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct the night sanitation crew across the entire food production site.
- Ensure adherence to and implementation of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Cultivate a culture of accountability by maintaining a visible presence on the production floor.
- Oversee sanitation schedules, regulate chemical use, and ensure thorough cleaning of equipment.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to maintain seamless operation and meet sanitation expectations.
- Educate team members on proper sanitation practices and safety procedures, coaching them for continual improvement.
- Keep precise records of sanitation activities to ensure compliance with safety norms.

Qualifications:
- A degree in a relevant field or 7+ years of substantial experience in sanitation leadership; high school diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing context, preferably food production.
- Practical experience in food manufacturing sanitation is essential.
- A proactive leadership style, comfortable with working directly on the production floor.
- Must be committed to working third shift hours.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead with transparency and effectiveness.
