Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Steward to join our dynamic Sanitation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, kitchen equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors at appropriate intervals to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Complies with all outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
• Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
• Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans in appropriate and assigned areas.
• Washes dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other food preparation machines and equipment.
• Operates large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and all other food prep surfaces as assigned.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, observing all safe lifting standards.
• Assists with banquet table and front of the house set up as requested.
• Assist with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and products.
• Distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of Food and Beverage, Arena, Stadium, Hotel, Hospitality, Club, or Full-Service Restaurant experience.
• Minimum 1 year of custodial, janitorial, and/or commercial cleaning experience.
• Valid TABC or state approved Alcohol/Liquor certification.
• Valid ServSafe or state approved Food Handlers certification.
• Scheduling flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication skills; ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more, squatting, bending, and walking for long periods.
