As a Sanitation Worker, you'll be on the front lines of maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. Your work will directly prevent the spread of illness, protect our employees, and ensure that our facilities operate smoothly. Whether it's keeping work areas spotless, handling waste responsibly, or supporting special cleaning projects, you'll be a key part of a team that people rely on every single day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of assigned areas, including floors, restrooms, break rooms, and high-touch surfaces.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and compactors safely and efficiently.
- Collect, sort, and dispose of waste and recyclables according to company and environmental guidelines.
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and sanitizing products.
- Inventory supplies on a regular basis to ensure supplies are available as needed.
- Follow strict safety and sanitation protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with deep-cleaning projects, seasonal maintenance, and emergency clean-up tasks.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to supervisors.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a team-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends if needed.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a must
Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous janitorial / sanitation experience is required
