What your day looks like

From clock-in to clock-out, you’re the guardian of plant hygiene and food safety. Guided by the Sanitation Manager and/or Sanitation Supervisor, you’ll rotate through sanitation roles across the facility—cross‑training is an essential function of this position and a core part of how we operate.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Protect food safety: Enforce every element of our plant’s food safety program on the floor, every shift.
  • Keep the environment spotless: Maintain sanitary conditions in production areas and equipment, restrooms, cafeteria, floors, walls, ceilings, and exterior spaces such as parking lots.
  • Use the right tools: Operate floor scrubbers and scissor lifts safely and effectively. When new areas or equipment are assigned as essential, you’ll receive proper training.
  • Own line cleanups and documentation: Support all line cleanups and complete records for pre‑operational inspections, adverse events, and MSS task completion—these are essential functions.
  • Apply chemical knowledge: Use cleaners strictly according to manufacturers’ instructions and site procedures—this is an essential function.
  • Navigate the cleaning matrix: Understand and execute requirements for changeovers, shutdowns, startups, periodicals, 100% organic, 100% wash, 100% allergen, and kosher cleanups—an essential function of the role.
  • Speak up fast: Communicate any discrepancies to your supervisor or the Plant Sanitation Manager, including issues related to HACCP Programs, the Allergen Control Program, GMP findings, adverse events, and departmental interactions—an essential function.

Who thrives here

  • Clear, practical thinkers: You’re comfortable with basic math and sound reasoning.
  • Adaptable teammates: Your schedule is flexible, and you’re available for intercompany assignments or weekend work as business needs require.
  • Curious learners: You embrace cross‑training to support the business and your own growth—this is essential to the position.

Your first 90 days

Expect hands‑on training across multiple sanitation roles, tool certifications (including floor scrubbers and scissor lifts), and step‑by‑step onboarding to our documentation standards and cleaning matrix. You’ll quickly become a go‑to resource for cleanups, changeovers, and pre‑op readiness.
