Job Overview
Sandblasters and Industrial Painters prepare and protect metal and hard surfaces by removing rust, coatings, and contaminants so surfaces can be properly painted and refinished. This role involves operating specialized blasting equipment and applying industrial coatings in environments such as marine vessels, pipes, steel structures, and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Sandblasting
- Operate high-powered sandblasting or abrasive blasting equipment
- Remove paint, rust, grime, old adhesives, and surface imperfections
- Prepare metal and hard surfaces for coating and refinishing
- Inspect surfaces to ensure proper preparation prior to painting
Industrial Painting
- Apply industrial coatings using techniques appropriate for the surface and environment
- Determine correct paint systems, equipment, and application methods
- Perform surface assessments to identify special preparation or coating requirements
- Ensure even coverage, proper adhesion, and quality finish
Safety & Quality
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Maintain clean, organized work areas
- Adhere to quality and environmental standards
What We’re Looking For
- Prior sandblasting and/or industrial painting experience preferred, but not required
- Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Comfortable working in industrial or marine environments

- Ability to perform physical work for extended periods
