Sample Technician Coordinator

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Sampling Technician / Product Development Coordinator to support the creation of new textile-based products. This role plays a key part in bringing product concepts to life by developing samples, interpreting specifications, and supporting cross-functional teams through the product development process. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in sewing, textiles, upholstery, or sample development who enjoys working hands-on while also collaborating with product development, quality, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct and prepare product samples based on specifications, materials, and design requirements
- Interpret written and verbal instructions to ensure accurate sample execution
- Work with fabrics, fill materials, and components to create high-quality samples
- Coordinate with Product Development, Quality, and Production teams to support sample requests
- Track and manage incoming and outgoing samples, including shipments to internal teams and third-party labs
- Assist with pre-production samples, customer samples, and product approvals
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in sewing, textiles, upholstery, or sample making
- Experience working with fabrics, materials, and basic product construction
- Ability to read and follow specifications, measurements, and instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Comfortable working both independently and within a team environment
- Basic communication skills and ability to coordinate across teams
- Preferred (but not required): Experience with industrial sewing machines
- Background in product development or sample room environments
- Experience in furniture, bedding, or textile manufacturing
