Job Summary (List Format): Principal IT Salesforce Technical Architect
- Serve as strategic architecture leader for Salesforce solutions focused on end-to-end Pricing & Contracting (including CPQ, pricing management, and contract workflows). - Partner with Commercial and IT stakeholders to define, govern, and modernize scalable target architecture, standards, and patterns across data, integration, security, and automation. - Lead design sessions, workshops, and discovery activities to translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solution designs. - Own solution design, configuration, and enablement of delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle. - Provide principal-level architecture leadership for complex, high-risk transformation initiatives, ensuring globally scalable solutions and minimizing technical debt. - Estimate level of effort (LOE), assess feasibility, benefits, and risks for proposed solutions. - Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), managing risks to ensure quality project outcomes. - Deliver architecture documentation, including end-to-end solution diagrams covering people, process, and technology interactions. - Drive architecture governance and portfolio lifecycle decisions to enhance scalability and reduce technical debt. - Coach and mentor admins, developers, and team members; support and enable best practices. - Develop and maintain architecture standards and patterns; evaluate and incorporate new Salesforce products and capabilities. - Enhance and expand existing Salesforce platform implementations. - Report to the Global Salesforce Commercial Platforms IT Director and collaborate within a globally distributed team.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree (required). - 10+ years of experience (with bachelor's) or 8+ years (with advanced degree) in IT roles. - 5+ years hands-on Salesforce experience with at least 2+ years in a technical lead or architecture capacity.
Preferred Qualifications: - 10+ years total Salesforce platform experience, including 3+ years in technical lead/architecture roles. - Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud, pricing & contracting technologies (e.g., Conga). - Strong knowledge of Salesforce products, integrations (APIs, iPaaS such as MuleSoft, Informatica, etc.). - Experience leading enterprise Salesforce implementations through full delivery lifecycle (waterfall/agile). - Excellent solution architecture documentation and communication skills. - Experience with data management/analytics, release management, and distributed/offshore teams. - Experience with single-org and multi-org Salesforce deployments. - Active Salesforce certifications (or ability to obtain upon hire).
