The Panther Group is seeking a Salesforce & Marketing Cloud Business Administrator to support University Advancement in managing and optimizing Salesforce and Marketing Cloud platforms. This role serves as the primary system administrator for Marketing Cloud, partnering closely with business stakeholders and IT to deliver scalable, high-quality CRM and digital marketing solutions.

The ideal candidate is both technically skilled and business-minded, with the ability to translate marketing needs into system functionality, improve automation, and support data-driven campaign execution across a large university environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary administrator for Salesforce and Marketing Cloud within University Advancement
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud to support marketing and communication needs
  • Design and implement automated marketing campaigns using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Email Studio
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable system solutions and workflows
  • Support email marketing operations, including campaign setup, auditing, and performance tracking
  • Maintain system integrity through data quality management, including deduplication, imports, and validation processes
  • Manage user access, including roles, profiles, permissions, sharing rules, and queues
  • Provide user training, documentation, and ongoing support to improve adoption and system usage
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and engagement
  • Collaborate with Advancement, Marketing & Communications, Alumni Relations, and other university departments
  • Test new Salesforce/Marketing Cloud releases and support system enhancements and data cleanup initiatives
  • Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes
Required Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in Salesforce CRM and/or Marketing Cloud
  • Experience with email marketing, mass communications, or digital campaign execution
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce administration and user management
  • Ability to work with data and reporting tools (analytics experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with SQL, SOQL, HTML, and/or AMPscript (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
Nice to Have
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification
  • Marketing Cloud Administrator Certification
  • Experience in higher education, nonprofit, or advancement environments
  • Experience with campaign analytics and marketing automation strategy
Pay is up to $38 per hour DOE
