Job Title: Salesforce Administrator
Department: Administration
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Status: Full-time; Exempt
                              
SUMMARY
The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Salesforce Administrator to support, maintain, and continue the growth of the organization’s Salesforce platform and related business systems. This role will serve as the primary internal resource for Salesforce administration, user support, process improvement, reporting, automation, and ongoing system enhancement as the Chamber continues its digital transformation initiatives.
This position works closely with leadership, internal departments, external consulting partners, and end users to ensure Salesforce serves as a scalable, efficient, and user-friendly platform that supports the Chamber’s mission to unite businesses and advance Kentucky.
The ideal candidate combines strong Salesforce administration skills with business analysis, communication, and project coordination abilities. This individual should be comfortable balancing day-to-day support requests with long-term strategic improvements and implementation projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Salesforce Administration & System Management
  • Serve as the administrator for the organization’s Salesforce environment.
  • Manage users, profiles, permission sets, and security settings.
  • Maintain system integrity, data quality, and platform performance.
  • Configure and maintain objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, automation, and custom functionality.
  • Monitor system health and proactively identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate sandbox testing, deployments, and release management activities.
  • Work with third-party vendors and implementation partners on enhancements and issue resolution.
Process Improvement & Business Analysis
  • Collaborate with departments across the organization to gather requirements and improve workflows.
  • Translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Help design processes that support organizational growth and long-term scalability.
  • Participate in discovery sessions, testing, documentation, and implementation planning.
Reporting, Dashboards & Data Management
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards for leadership and departmental teams.
  • Support KPI tracking, operational metrics, and organizational reporting initiatives.
  • Assist with data imports, exports, deduplication, cleanup, and ongoing data governance efforts.
  • Ensure consistent and accurate reporting across departments.
User Support & Training
  • Provide day-to-day Salesforce support to internal users.
  • Troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and manage enhancement requests.
  • Create and maintain user documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
  • Lead user training sessions and support user adoption initiatives.
  • Help promote best practices and effective use of Salesforce across the organization.
Project Coordination
  • Assist in coordinating ongoing Salesforce projects and implementation initiatives.
  • Help prioritize enhancement requests and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with leadership, vendors, consultants, and end users throughout project lifecycles.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), change management, and deployment readiness activities.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Required Qualifications
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator certification.
  • 1-3 years of hands-on Salesforce Administration experience.
  • Experience configuring Salesforce using declarative tools such as:
    • Flow Builder
    • Reports & Dashboards
    • Validation Rules
    • Permission Sets
    • Custom Objects & Fields
  • Experience supporting end users and troubleshooting Salesforce issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with nonprofit, association, membership, or chamber organizations.
  • Experience working alongside Salesforce consulting or implementation partners.
  • Experience with integrations and third-party applications.
  • Familiarity with:
    • Blackthorn.io or other Event Management Software
    • Marketing automation tools, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud
    • Data import/export tools
    • Document generation or e-signature platforms
  • Experience creating user training documentation and conducting training sessions.
  • Business Analyst or project coordination experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce implementations 

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Information Systems, Communications, or related field.
  • Equivalent professional experience may be considered in place of formal education.

Work Environment
  • Hybrid work environment, with mandatory days in our Frankfort, KY office 
  • Occasional travel may be required for meetings, events, or training.
  • Position may require managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands of this position require the ability to lift a maximum of 20 lbs. and be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods of time. On occasion, must be able to work days of up to 16 hours.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
