QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will: 

  • Reside near the Sarasota and Tampa areas and be passionate about selling products that are of the highest quality and value in their class.
  • The position requires the candidate to be energized by working for a world-class manufacturer and collaborating on cross-functional teams.
  • They must be a self-starter and organized and recognize the importance of building and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and demonstrate excellent presentation and computer skills.
  • Prior outside sales experience calling in construction or building products, calling on architects and designers, is preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Role and Responsibilities: 

You will have ownership for maximizing sales and ensuring market penetration with existing accounts, as well as actively pursuing new customers and developing new opportunities. 
This position is heavily focused on maintaining and strengthening relationships with end-user customers across multiple market segments such as healthcare, education, hospitality, and other commercial segments. 
As you maintain strong relationships across our customer base, you will also gain recognition as an industry resource and product expert. 
A day in the life of this position will include appointments/presentations with architects, interior designers, contractors, and facility end users. 
The territory will extend from Naples to Tampa. 
Typical travel will be within the territory at least 4 days/week with a minimum of 5 appointments per day. 
Occasional out-of-territory travel for trade shows and conferences.

Job Description:

We are looking for a candidate who has prior experience specifying commercial building products in projects with architects, interior designers, and facility end users. 
They must be comfortable traveling overnight 4-5 times per month and must be comfortable with long travel days locally 3-4 days per week. 
A bachelor's degree is required, and an incumbent must live in the Sarasota or Tampa areas.
