This is a hands-on Shift Lead position, working side by side with the team to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional guest service. Our bakery hours are 4:00 AM – 4:00 PM, offering early mornings but no late nights.

The Shift Lead supports daily operations, sets the tone for the team during their shift, and helps maintain our high standards for service, quality, and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
Lead by example while working alongside the team during your shift
Open and/or close the bakery and ensure smooth shift transitions
Support and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service
Oversee daily operations including food service, order flow, and barista support
Assist with training new team members on service standards, food safety, and bakery procedures
Ensure proper cash handling and accurate use of POS systems (Square POS experience preferred)
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards throughout the bakery
Address guest questions or concerns promptly and professionally
Communicate effectively with management regarding staffing, operations, and shift needs
Qualifications & Experience
Previous leadership or shift-lead experience in a bakery, café, or food service environment preferred
Strong communication and people skills
Ability to lead a diverse team in a fast-paced, early-morning environment
Comfortable with cash handling and point-of-sale systems (Square POS a plus)
Dependable, organized, and solution-oriented
Passion for hospitality and teamwork

Sun: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. depending on bakery needs
Participating in rotating weekends / one weekend off a month is an option for this position
