TRC's client is a fast-growing industrial sales organization supporting warehouse, manufacturing, and material handling customers across the U.S. This role sits within a high-activity sales environment with strong inbound lead flow, existing customer accounts, and a focus on territory expansion and new business development.
The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for driving revenue growth within a defined territory through prospecting, relationship management, and solution-based selling. This is a “hunter” role requiring consistent lead generation, pipeline development, and deal closure across industrial customers. The position involves both in-person and virtual sales presentations, on-site demonstrations, and ongoing customer engagement to ensure long-term account growth and satisfaction.
Develop and manage a defined sales territory through active prospecting and lead generation
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities via cold calling, referrals, tradeshows, and inbound inquiries
Conduct onsite product demonstrations and virtual presentations via Microsoft Teams
Manage full sales cycle from lead qualification through negotiation and closing
Maintain and grow existing customer relationships through ongoing communication and support
Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM to track pipeline, customer interactions, and sales activity
Negotiate pricing and contract terms to maximize profitability while meeting customer needs
Coordinate customer training sessions with warehouse, operations, and packaging teams
Conduct market research to identify trends and expansion opportunities
Participate in tradeshows and industry events to generate leads and strengthen brand presence
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction
Maintain consistent follow-up and speed-to-market on all active opportunities
Travel regularly within assigned territory, including overnight travel as needed
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Technical field, or related discipline preferred
1–3 years of outside sales experience preferred (or strong interest in building a sales career)
Proven ability or strong aptitude for prospecting and closing new business (“hunter” mindset)
Experience with CRM platforms (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred)
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a territory-based role
High level of organization, self-motivation, and accountability
Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort in warehouse/industrial environments
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in industrial settings
Valid driver's license required
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
