Sales Representative - Direct Hire

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Representative to join our team in Youngstown, Ohio. This role is with a purpose-driven organization that values community support and personal growth. You will focus on developing new business, maintaining existing client relationships, and providing excellent service. This outside sales position involves promoting our products and services directly to customers, both face-to-face and remotely. The position offers a competitive salary during training, with uncapped commission potential once you’re established.

Hours:
1st Shift, 07:00 am – 07:00 pm, Monday through Friday

Pay:
$40,000 – $120,000 annually (base during training, then commission-based)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new business and grow existing accounts within your territory
  • Qualify prospects and follow company account stratification goals
  • Research customer needs and recommend suitable products and services
  • Present sales proposals and conduct product demonstrations
  • Stay updated on market trends, products, and competitors' offerings
  • Answer customer inquiries on products, pricing, and availability
  • Provide training to customer personnel on products and services
  • Visit customer locations, attend trade shows, and participate in company events
  • Collect receivables and coordinate deliveries with logistics
  • Maintain sales records, prepare budgets and reports, and process credits
  • Attend sales meetings and review reports regularly
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:
  • Proven sales experience, ideally in outside sales or related fields
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Proficiency with MS Office and basic PC skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience in restaurant management, foodservice, or chef roles
  • Knowledge of ethnic market segments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or higher
  • Previous outside sales or customer service experience
  • Experience in foodservice or restaurant management is a plus

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work on-site and travel within the territory
  • Willingness to train and build a book of business
  • Flexibility with schedule; start times vary from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm during training
