BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SALES REPRESENTATIVE This role involves direct interaction with customers and is responsible for account management, customer sales, and new account activations. The individual in this position will be accountable for achieving sales targets within an assigned territory. Success in this role requires the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Manage and track sales objectives for designated sales territory
- Manage all business development call targeting and follow up activity
- Participate in regular sales meetings to ensure alignment
- Strategic planning for a sales territory
- Manage all planning, recaps and reporting
- Build and manage customer relationships
- Create, manage and execute business development strategy
- Execute sales programs
- Manage a territory budget
- Manage activity calendar for territory
- Comply with all company policies
REQUIREMENTS - At least 3 years in the wine, spirits, or restaurant industry
- Strong wine knowledge and passion for the business
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to communicate, present and influence customers
- Ability to educate customers
- Possess strong organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Must be able to lift 50 pounds
