    Sales Operations Process Specialist (Temporary) 
    Location:  Riverside, CA
    Pay Range:  $45.50 - $52.50/hr
    Duration: 1-3 months

    Position Summary 

    The Sales Operations Process Specialist is responsible for developing, documenting, and standardizing the processes, procedures, and operational documentation that support the Transit Sales department. This temporary role will create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflow diagrams, process maps, work instructions, templates, and training documentation that establish consistency, improve efficiency, and support the continued growth of the Sales organization.

The primary focus of this role is to build and maintain the operational framework that enables the Sales team to execute work efficiently, consistently, and at scale culminating in the development of a comprehensive Sales Operations Playbook that serves as the department's central operating guide.

    • Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Sales Operations processes.
    • Create process maps, workflow diagrams, swim lane charts, and other visual documentation to illustrate departmental workflows.
    • Analyze current Sales Operations processes and cross-functional workflows that support the Sales Operations function to identify opportunities for standardization and improved efficiency.
    • Document current-state and future-state workflows for sales, quoting, bidding, contract administration, program management, document control, and related business functions.
    • Collaborate with department leader to validate and implement standardized processes.
    • Ensure all process documentation is organized, version controlled, and easily accessible.
    • Develop work instructions, templates, checklists, and supporting documentation to improve consistency.
    • Develop and maintain the Sales Operations Playbook, consolidating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflows, best practices, templates, work instructions, roles and responsibilities, process documentation, and training materials into a centralized resource for the department.
    • Assist with change management initiatives related to new processes and organizational improvements.
    • Support development of departmental training materials and onboarding documentation.
    • Recommend process improvements that enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of the Sales Operations department.
    • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary company information and customer data.
    Position Requirements:  
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in business process improvement, operations, project coordination, business analysis, technical documentation, or a related field.
    • Strong understanding of business process documentation and workflow development.
    • Experience creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar process mapping software.
    • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
    • Strong written communication skills with the ability to clearly document complex business processes.
    • Ability to gather information from multiple stakeholders and translate it into clear, standardized documentation.
    • Strong facilitation and interviewing skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments.
    • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies is preferred (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).
    • Experience creating SOPs, workflow diagrams, and process documentation required.
     Preferred Qualifications:     
    • Experience documenting business processes within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments is strongly desired.
    • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, CPQ, or document management systems is preferred.
    • Experience supporting cross-functional business operations preferred.
    • Lean Six Sigma certification or similar process improvement certification is a plus.
     
    Work Environment: 

    This is an onsite position based in Riverside, CA and requires being onsite.
