Ferguson is currently seeking a Sales Manager to cover the Pacific Northwest markets for our Waterworks Municipal business. This position will have a focus on sales expansion, margin improvement, and market development across the state(s) of OR, WA, ID, MT. The position will be responsible for overall sales performance and have oversight of their associates and dotted line reports.Position DetailsReports into the Director of Utility Infrastructure SalesDirect oversight of 7 Outside Sales Representatives and 1 sales support representative.Position can be based out of any of our waterworks locations within the territory.Current Annual Revenue of $40M, Market opportunity of $125M.ResponsibilitiesDevelops and maintains relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure coordination and exceptional service levelsAssigns, monitors, and sets objectives for key accounts and sales representativesAccompanies sales representatives on existing key accounts and potential customer callsProvides leadership and input for pricing proposals and strategic plans for key accountsMonitors sales trends, market dynamics, product performance results and customer preferences to determine focus of sales effortsCollaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products and services, and to provide sales supportLead, direct, evaluate, and develop a sales team to pursue prospects, promote products, offer solutions, and achieve sales targetsEffectively monitors and manages individual sales representative's budget and performance using sales management toolsTakes ownership of solving problems and engages other stakeholders as appropriateResolve customer complaints regarding sales and serviceReview operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitabilitySubmit short and long term sales plans and prepares sales strategies utilizing available marketing programs to reach designated targetsParticipate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies, and guidelines to the management teamQualifications8+ years experience in sales and/or management within Waterworks, Municipal experience is preferredPrior knowledge of Water Municipal products and/or programsFamiliarity with markets and business units within assigned geography is a plusDesire to be a hard‑working leader, mentor and motivator of individuals and teamsAbility to analyze data, develop budgets, implement plans, and deliver effective presentationsExperience defining customer needs and providing solutionsConstructive and empathetic communication skills, both verbal and written, are a mustProficient Excel and PDF skillsAbility to travel throughout the market with occasional flights and overnights.BenefitsWe value our well‑being just as much as our hard work. This role is bonus or incentive plan eligible.
