Our client, a market leader, is one of the main distributors in Puerto Rico. It is recognized for the brands it represents, its strong distribution and sales network, and its commitment to marketing excellence and customer service. The company is currently seeking a Sales Manager – On Trade.

Job Summary:
The Sales Manager – On Trade is responsible for leading and executing the commercial strategy within the On Trade channel (bars, restaurants, hotels, and entertainment venues), with the objective of maximizing sales, strengthening brand presence, and building strong relationships with key clients. This role combines strategic vision, team management, and field execution to ensure sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement the sales strategy for the On Trade channel, aligned with the company’s business objectives.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in bars, restaurants, hotels, and other consumption points.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key clients, negotiating commercial agreements and promotions.
  • Lead, train, and supervise the sales team to ensure target achievement.
  • Analyze performance indicators (sales, turnover, coverage, in-store execution) and propose action plans.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to implement activations, events, and brand visibility strategies.
  • Ensure proper execution of pricing, promotions, and portfolio at the point of sale.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
  • Manage budgets and ensure efficient use of assigned resources.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, preferably in the On Trade channel or consumer goods industry.
  • Proven experience leading commercial teams.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Availability for fieldwork and flexible schedules.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Strong analytical, presentation, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word or equivalent).
