The team you will be a part of
The Channel Sales team is responsible for selling products and services to a wide range of highly complex or major accounts and customers and execution of sales plans, targets and budgets within the overall regional and business unit sales strategy. Accountable for increasing sales/client ratio and expanding customer base.
This role in summary
Responsible for executing go to market plans for the Menards laundry Business. With Menards being Whirlpool Corporation's largest exclusive retailer, this is an opportunity to drive continued growth with a high volume category.This is a key leadership role that requires working cross-functionally with internal process partners in merchandising, shopper and brand marketing, supply chain, operations and sales as well as externally with the assigned trade partner.
Your responsibilities will include
Deliver Joint Business Planning initiatives to contribute to the Menards laundry P&L and trade partner relationships
Execute Go-to-Market programming within an aligned Whr Corp distribution strategy for laundry category
Develop Plan to Sell to support Menards strategies and to drive volume, profitability and mix improvements
Execute pricing, promotional plans and strategies following an omni-channel approach
Execute on consistent growth tactics with focus on draw / conversion initiatives
Closely monitor SKUs' productivity on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, pivot tactics and communicate results to key
Build cross functional relationships; collaborating with Merchandising, Shopper Marketing and Demand Planning teams
Minimum requirements
Bachelor''s degree
3+ years of Profit and Loss levers ownership experience
5 + years of selling or merchandising or similar industry experience
Preferred skills and experiences
New Products & Plan to Sell (Mastery): Provides expertise to drive the business to achieve innovative results and increased ROI for new products and plan to sell.
Category Management - Execution (Advanced): Oversees the execution of innovative, cross-functional, long term business plans which create sustainable advantage in the market
Financial Acumen (Advanced): Applies company and trade partner business and financial drivers to budgets to produce agreed upon results
Selling & Negotiating (Advanced): Customizes and delivers proposals and negotiations to the trade to win additional business
Omni Channel Acumen (Proficient): Integrates new channels into all sales and category plans to maximize trade partner connections, engagement and increase sales.
P&L responsibility ($30M plus preferred)
Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
Extraordinary verbal, presentation, written and communication skills
Ability to work with cross-functional teams to reach common goals
Drive to meet timelines, create assessments and be results focused
