Job Purpose:
Under the direction of the Vice President of Sales, Sales Manager will be responsible for executing the company's sales strategy within the assigned territory by working with clients or prospects to generate incremental new business. The sales manager will understand and utilize company strategy documents, sales techniques, pricing, budgets and other relevant information for the fiscal year to maximize results. The territory includes any location where incremental revenue can be developed including network markets. Responsibilities technology demonstrations, food presentations, pricing and contract negotiations, on-site visits, local event participation, convention representation and collaboration with Universal Weather & Aviation sales team members/executives.
Responsibilities and Associated Duties:
Generate incremental new sales of $1MM/annually by developing new business or expanding the wallet share of existing customers
Explicitly understand and focus on budgeted sales targets for your assigned territory
Use various sources of data for research such as customer websites, Dynamics 365, UWA TSS List, CAPPS & ACW Sales book for leads.
Utilize CRM (Salesforce) daily to log, track and communicate sales activities & results
Collaborate with marketing, guest services, operations and finance to facilitate and promote new programs, messages, campaigns and offerings to clients
Collaborating with Universal Weather & Aviation sales team members to bundle sales offers
Use company approved management tools for managing your time and responsibilities.
Travel as required in accordance with business needs
All other duties as assigned by Vice President.
Measures of Success:
Generate a minimum of $1MM in incremental new sales
Ability to generate incremental new sales in underperforming markets that results in the EBITDA budget being met at the end of the fiscal year for that specific market
Transition (1) one of our competitors' key customers in each kitchen market within territory
Increase online sales with installed customer base in kitchen markets within territory by 10%
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:
College degree preferred or equivalent work experience
5-7 years' experience in prospecting/selling inflight-catering, business aviation services or luxury products
Must demonstrate the ability to generate incremental new sales and/or have a proven track record of quota attainment
Must be able to negotiate and readily make decisions that align with sales targets, pricing strategies and customer segment
Must be highly organized, detail orientated and prioritize cross-functional duties
Must demonstrate a high energy level, a positive attitude and a willingness to work with others, including confidence and professionalism
Must possess strong written and verbal skills & be fluent in English.
Proficiency required in Microsoft Office products and SalesForce CRM
Travel required
