JOB SUMMARY: The Sales Manager plays a vital role in advancing the mission of TrainND Southeast by connecting individuals, businesses, and industries with high-quality workforce development solutions tailored to regional needs. This position is responsible for establishing revenue and enrollment targets and expanding the reach of training programs offered, and developing new training programs.

As the front-line representative of TrainND Southeast, the Sales Manager focuses on identifying prospective clients, building and maintaining strong relationships, and promoting training offerings that support workforce readiness and regional economic growth. Serving as the face of the TrainND brand, this role emphasizes trust-building, client engagement, and increasing participation in training initiatives.

Key responsibilities include generating sales, coordinating training delivery, contributing to curriculum development, and recruiting qualified trainers to ensure effective and successful program execution.

This role involves frequent regional travel, an average of three days per week. Travel is primarily within the day and within the Southeast region of North Dakota.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Communication, or related degree.

  • Minimum of three years of sales experience within business and industry sectors.

  • Valid Driver's license

  • Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other standard business software applications

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a team environment

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage logistics and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

  • Travel required with this position, primarily within the Southeast region of North Dakota

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Communication, or related degree.
  • Experience working in training, higher education, or workforce development
  • Familiarity with adult education principles, workforce training programs, and alternative learning formats
  • Knowledge of TrainND

Additional Information

SALARY: $50,000-$60,000, commensurate with education and experience

BENEFITS: NDSCS offers a comprehensive benefits package with an estimated value of over $25,000. The package includes single or family health insurance coverage with premiums paid for by the College - with an effective date for new employees the first of the month following the date of hire.
