    Description

    Sales Initiative Representative (In-Force) to help strengthen relationships with existing Members and identify opportunities to expand the value of Navy Mutual products and services. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment, enjoys building relationships, and is passionate about supporting military families through meaningful financial solutions.

    As a Sales Initiative Representative, you will play a critical role in generating qualified opportunities, expanding existing customer relationships, and supporting strategic sales initiatives. You will work closely with Sales Representatives to develop pipelines, schedule appointments, and create opportunities that drive revenue growth while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

    What Youll Do

    Business Development & Pipeline Growth

    • Support strategic sales and in-force initiatives by identifying opportunities and scheduling meetings for Sales Representatives.
    • Develop and execute outreach strategies designed to increase pipeline growth and business development opportunities.
    • Engage existing Members, prospects, referral sources, and strategic partners to uncover sales opportunities.
    • Conduct proactive outbound calling campaigns to generate qualified leads and appointments.
    • Assist with event lead follow-up and prospect outreach efforts as needed.
    • Collaborate with Sales Representatives to execute sales strategies and achieve organizational objectives.

    Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain positive relationships with Members and prospects through professional, consultative interactions.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience throughout the sales process.
    • Support customer retention and growth initiatives through proactive account engagement.
    • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling Navy Mutual products and services.

    Performance & Reporting

    • Track daily sales activities, pipeline development, and outreach efforts.
    • Analyze results and communicate performance metrics to sales leadership.
    • Maintain accurate records within CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
    • Monitor lead progress and partner with Sales Representatives to support successful outcomes.

    Compliance & Professional Standards

    • Uphold Navy Mutuals reputation for ethical business practices, professionalism, and outstanding service.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable sales, insurance, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
    • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance sales effectiveness and operational efficiency.

    Performance Expectations

    Successful candidates will be expected to achieve the following productivity goals:

    • Sales Representative Meetings Scheduled: Minimum of 20 meetings per week
    • Outbound Calls: Minimum of 50 calls per day
    • Upsell/Cross-Sell Performance: Achieve 15% upsell/cross-sell ratio on closed Business Development Program (BDP) business

    What Youll Bring

    Required Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of experience in business development, inside sales, account management, lead generation, or a similar sales-focused environment.
    • Demonstrated success identifying, developing, and advancing sales opportunities.
    • Experience growing business through customer relationship expansion and proactive outreach.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and activity goals.
    • Hands-on experience with a variety of sales techniques, including cold calling and consultative selling.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
    • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar systems.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
    • Prior insurance, financial services, or association membership sales experience.
    • Knowledge of insurance solicitation processes and regulatory compliance requirements.
    • Experience working with proposal development tools, sales templates, and standardized sales processes.
    • Experience using SharePoint and other collaboration platforms.
    • Familiarity with Navy Mutual products, services, and operating systems.
