The Sales Finance Manager will serve as a strategic business partner to the Sales organization, providing financial insights and analysis to support key commercial decisions. This role will be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, profitability analysis, trade spend management, and commercial decision support, helping to drive revenue growth, improve margins, and optimize business performance.

Description

Business Partnership

  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Category teams to evaluate commercial initiatives, promotional activities, and investment opportunities.
  • Manage trade fund planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Provide financial support for customer negotiations, trade terms, and commercial agreements.
  • Act as a key liaison between Finance and commercial stakeholders to ensure alignment on business objectives and financial goals.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities related to revenue, trade spend, and gross margin.
  • Deliver timely financial reporting, dashboards, and business insights.
  • Analyze actual results versus forecast and identify risks and opportunities.

Performance Management

  • Monitor customer and channel profitability, trade spend effectiveness, and key commercial KPIs.
  • Develop recommendations to improve margins, profitability, and working capital performance.
  • Analyze financial results by customer, product line, and region to support strategic decision-making.

Strategic Projects

  • Support business case development, scenario modeling, and investment analysis for new initiatives and growth opportunities.
  • Partner with commercial leadership on customer planning, pricing strategies, sales incentive programs, and contract negotiations.

Controls & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, controls, and governance requirements related to pricing, promotions, discounts, and trade spend.
  • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams on contract reviews and risk assessments as needed.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Sales Finance, or Finance Business Partnering.
  • Strong commercial mindset and business acumen, preferably within CPG, FMCG, Retail, Consumer Products, or B2B industries.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Anaplan, or similar platforms.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decision-making across functions.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA, or similar professional designation.
  • Experience supporting sales organizations, pricing strategy, trade spend, promotional analysis, and customer profitability.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
