  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive products, machining technologies, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Support trade shows, distributor events, customer open houses, and industry exhibitions as required.

Qualifications

Required

  • Strong technical knowledge of CNC machining operations including milling, turning, drilling, and holemaking.
  • Experience with solid carbide tooling and indexable carbide tooling systems.
  • Proven ability to work effectively through industrial distribution channels while developing direct relationships with end users.
  • Strong consultative selling, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand machining specifications and tolerances.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Business, or related field.
  • Hands-on machining, programming, manufacturing engineering, or application engineering experience.
  • Experience supporting distributors such as MSC, Grainger, Fastenal, Motion, Applied Industrial Technologies, or regional industrial distributors.
  • Knowledge of CAM software, CNC programming, and advanced machining strategies.

Success Factors

  • Technical credibility with machinists, programmers, engineers, and manufacturing leaders.
  • Ability to identify productivity opportunities and quantify customer value.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both distributors and end users.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing a territory independently.
  • Competitive drive combined with a customer-focused approach.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
