Job Title: Sales Engineer

Pay Rate: $75,000 - $90,000/year

Location: Farmington, CT (Training in Italy for 3-6 months)

Start Date: ASAP

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support sales and commercial activities related to customer quotations and market development within the aerospace and industrial gas turbine sectors.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance within ERP systems, including manufacturing cycles, cost structures, and investment information.
  • Assist in preparing technical-commercial presentations, proposals, and RFQ documentation for both internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Participate in technical risk assessments associated with quotation and bidding activities.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to support cost estimation and technical validation processes.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers and group stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout bid preparation activities.
  • Support customer meetings, technical discussions, and clarification activities during proposal and bidding phases.
  • Contribute to Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) by providing technical, operational, and cost-related inputs.
  • Ensure activities are completed within established deadlines and aligned with commercial planning requirements.
  • Support compliance with company procedures, ethical standards, and delegated authority guidelines.
  • Assist with additional sales, commercial, and engineering-related duties as assigned by leadership.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor"s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Management Engineering, or related field (Master"s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in similar roles within structured industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills across multiple organizational levels.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in team-oriented environments.
  • Basic knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling using NX or related software.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and manufacturing-related business processes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience supporting aerospace or industrial gas turbine industries.
  • Knowledge of forging, machining, and finishing manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of costing methodologies and investment analysis practices.
  • Experience supporting quotation management, RFQ activities, or technical sales processes.
  • Ability to participate in international training and collaborate with global teams.
