Position Overview

The Sales Director is responsible for leading all sales and marketing initiatives for an assisted living community in Stockton, CA. This role drives occupancy and revenue growth through strategic planning, market analysis, relationship development, and execution of best-in-class sales practices. The Sales Director partners closely with community leadership to ensure alignment between sales strategy, operations, and resident experience.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Pay: $80,000 / DOE

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the community’s sales and marketing strategy to achieve or exceed occupancy and revenue targets.
  • Develop, manage, and implement monthly and quarterly sales plans in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Serve as the primary sales leader and point of contact for prospective residents, families, and professional referral partners.
  • Build and maintain strong referral relationships with healthcare providers, hospitals, care managers, and community organizations.
  • Conduct market research and maintain ongoing knowledge of competitors, pricing, incentives, and service offerings.
  • Manage the full sales cycle including inquiry response, tours, follow-up, and closing move-ins.
  • Ensure all inquiries are handled professionally, promptly, and with consistent follow-up standards.
  • Utilize the company CRM daily to track leads, referral sources, conversion rates, and sales performance metrics; leverage data to improve results.
  • Meet or exceed sales activity standards established by the Regional Vice President of Sales.
  • Plan and execute community outreach initiatives, educational programs, and networking events to enhance brand awareness and market positioning.
  • Chair daily stand-up meetings to communicate anticipated move-ins, move-outs, and unit changes with internal teams.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations related to licensure, admissions, and acuity requirements.
  • Partner with the Executive Team to deliver a high-quality customer experience and support operational excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and ethical sales practices.

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Minimum of 3 years of senior living or related sales experience; sales leadership experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success in achieving occupancy, sales, or revenue goals
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales technology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and communicate effectively throughout the workday
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for handling materials and technology
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
