Sales Coordinator

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Sales Coordinator to join our team. The Sales Coordinator serves as a vital link between the sales and manufacturing teams, ensuring that customer orders are accurately processed and efficiently transitioned into production. This role is responsible for managing sales order

entry, printing and distributing travelers, and coordinating production schedules to meet customer delivery expectations. The ideal candidate has

experience in a manufacturing setting, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.  This role supports the Sales Teamand reports directly to the Inside

Sales Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter and process customer sales orders into the ERP or order management system.
  • Confirm order details including product specifications, quantities, pricing, and delivery dates.
  • Communicate with customers and internal departments to resolve order-related issues.    
  • Generate and print traveler documents for each production job, ensuring all necessary information is included (e.g., materials, routing, specifications).
  • Review travelers for accuracy and completeness before releasing them to the production floor.
  • Maintain organized records of travelers and ensure timely distribution to relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with production planners and supervisors to align order priorities with manufacturing schedules.
  • Act as a liaison between sales, production, inventory, and shipping departments.
  • Support inventory checks and confirm product availability for incoming orders.
  • Provide administrative support for reporting, customer follow-ups, and documentation.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production coordination role. - Preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing documentation (e.g., travelers, sales orders).
  • Experience with manufacturing workflows and production scheduling. - Preferred
  • Knowledge of materials planning and inventory control.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production software tools.
