Job Summary

  • As a Sales Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in helping our customers remodeling dreams come true. You will work directly with our clients to showcase and sell our stellar lineup of products and partner with our support staff to see their projects through to completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead impactful projects and grow within a supportive and innovative company environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow established sales processes through to completion while meeting or beating annual sales goals.
  • Be professional, timely, and prepared for any customer interactions and appointments.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge about all products to be offered by the company and about current remodeling trends.
  • Prepare concise yet detailed contracts, including photo and additional paperwork throughout the job.
  • Create Work Orders for any work not specifically in the contract.
  • Partner with internal staff to address customer concerns or questions and work together to find a solution. Promote customer satisfaction with all work being done.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings to address sales agendas, products, and job updates.
  • Maintain a vehicle (company or personal) with company signage and a clean appearance.
  • Host our Waunakee or Odana Road showrooms.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4 year degree preferred.

Required Skills

  • Valid driver's license is required with an excellent driving record preferred.
  • Experience with customer management software such as NetSuite is preferred.
  • Construction or remodeling industry experience is ideal but not required.

Work Environment

  • The majority of the working conditions and physical demands are normal for an office or home environment. A small percentage of the physical environment will require the employee to conduct business both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, dry/arid conditions while visiting job sites. This position can also require the ability to use ladders or stairs to access areas of the home for inspection including roofs.
  • A typical work schedule can involve appointments between the hours of 8am to 7pm Monday - Friday. Saturday appointments can be scheduled as well. Seasonal events such as home shows can require evening and weekend shifts. Hours are also required in the office.
  • 95% travel required in and around Dane County. The remaining 5% is at our Waunakee office.
