The Role: Drive Used Vehicle Sales + Support New Inventory Growth
As a Sales Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to sell and merchandise used vehicles, while also maintaining strong proficiency in new Ford product sales and support. You are the face of the dealership and play a key role across both sides of the business.
You will guide customers through one of the most important purchases of their lives, ensuring every step is transparent, professional, and exciting.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead Used Vehicle Sales: Actively present, market, and sell used inventory as your primary focus
- Support New Vehicle Sales: Stay trained and ready to sell new Ford vehicles when opportunities arise
- Master the Process: Manage the full sales journey from digital leads and prospecting to delivery and follow-up
- Showcase Inventory: Present and demonstrate both used and new vehicles to match customer needs and budget
- Strategic Growth: Work inventory reports to maximize used car turn rate and dealership profitability
- Stay Ahead: Maintain expertise on Ford products, used market trends, and pricing strategy
- Manage Relationships: Use CRM tools to ensure strong follow-up and no missed opportunities
- Exceed Standards: Meet or exceed CSI, gross profit expectations, and monthly unit goals across both used and new sales
What You Bring to the Table:
- Previous automotive sales experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on used vehicle sales experience.
- Used Car “Hunter” Mentality: You are aggressive about finding and closing opportunities in pre-owned inventory
- Interpersonal Strength: You build trust quickly and can connect with a wide range of customers and budgets
- Professionalism: Strong communication skills and polished presentation
- Experience: Automotive or sales experience preferred, especially in used vehicle sales, but not required
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using CRM and digital retail tools
